Senior Manager - Geospatial Systems, Data Processing

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager - Geospatial Systems, Data Processing to lead our geospatial technology and data processing initiatives. This role will play a key part in advancing our geospatial capabilities to support planning, operations, and decision-making processes across the company.

As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and optimization of geospatial systems and workflows, ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and integration of geospatial data. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to leverage geospatial technologies for strategic advantage and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of geospatial systems, tools, and databases that support company-wide initiatives.
• Drive the processing, analysis, and integration of geospatial data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, engineering, and IT to embed geospatial insights into business workflows and decision-making.
• Oversee the automation of geospatial data processing pipelines to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Stay current with emerging geospatial technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers specialized in geospatial technologies and data services.
• Develop and enforce best practices and standards for geospatial data management, security, and sharing.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the geospatial team, promoting continuous learning and high-performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements related to geospatial information.
• Prepare and present reports, analyses, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geospatial Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in geospatial systems development, data processing, and analysis.
• Proven expertise with GIS software and tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and remote sensing technologies.
• Experience in developing and managing geospatial data processing pipelines, including automation and integration with enterprise systems.
• Strong knowledge of spatial data formats, databases (e.g., spatial databases), and data management best practices.
• Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in geospatial data processing, such as Python, SQL, or R.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and vendor relationships.
• Experience working with large-scale spatial datasets and integrating geospatial data with business intelligence or analytics platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating across diverse functions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving improvements and innovation.
