Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior UI Artist who possesses a deep understanding of creating intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces for mobile games. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with a proven track record of delivering high-quality UI designs that enhance the overall player experience.

Most importantly, we’re not looking for any kind of artists but Game Artists who love, live and breathe games. It’s a great opportunity to explore and push yourself as you’ll be surrounded by other Game Makers who also love games and together, you’ll work to build worlds, characters and games to be loved and enjoyed by millions of players for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and implement captivating and user-friendly UIs that align with the game's aesthetic and brand identity.
• Collaborate closely with the game development team, including designers, product managers, and engineers, to translate high-level requirements into intuitive user flows and interaction patterns.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to guide the development process and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and refine UI designs based on player behaviour and preferences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX design trends and best practices to create cutting-edge interfaces that engage mobile gamers.
• Collaborate with animators and other artists to ensure that UI elements and animations seamlessly integrate with the overall game design.
• Design and implement UI assets and elements, including buttons, menus, icons, and text overlays, using industry-standard tools like Photoshop and Figma.
• Collaborate with game developers to ensure that UI elements are implemented effectively and performant across various mobile devices.
• Maintain design documentation and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintainability of UI across the game's development lifecycle.
• Prepare briefs and provide feedback to UI outsource partners.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UI and UX design, with a focus on mobile games.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing high-quality UIs for successful mobile game titles.
• Knowledge in UX design principles, including user-centred design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Strong understanding of mobile game development processes and constraints.
• Experience in using Figma or other leading UI/UX design tools.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for UI asset creation.
• Proficiency in Unity or other game engines.
• Bonus: 2D & illustrations capabilities.
• Bonus: 3D Modelling, Texturing, Animation, Rendering.
• Passion for mobile games and a deep understanding of player behaviour and preferences.
• Strong portfolio of game UI art.
