Job Summary:

The F&B Captain in Shangri-la Jeddah is more than the regular duties of greeting and serving the guests but dazzling and delighting the guests by creating memorable dining experience in the Food & Beverage outlet by living the Shangri-la Standards.

Assists the Outlet Manager with the daily operation and oversees activity of Waiters/Waitresses and ensures maximum service is extended to the guests.

As a F&B Captain, we rely on you to:

• To reflect the Shangri – La Jeddah philosophy by providing the highest quality of friendly service to our customer.  


• Ensures service standards on assigned station are met.


• Have a strong understanding of the menu and the way each dish is prepared.


• Suggest to guests on Menu selection.


• Handles minor complaints and report them to the Manager or Assistant for proper action.


• Ensures smooth co-operation between the Restaurant, the Kitchen, and the Stewarding.


• Coordinate with the team to ensure timely service to the guest.


• Ensuring the billing is done appropriately and posted accordingly.


• Follow the Shangri-la Food Safety Processes and Procedures.


• Always checks and ensures compliance with personal hygiene and staff grooming.


• Assist and train subordinates colleagues in the success of the F&B outlet.

What we're looking for:

• Great conversational skills for engaging with guests.


• Strong English skills


• Positive Attitude and willingness to learn.


• High-end Restaurant experience.


• Minimum of 2 year of experience as a F&B Captain in 5 Star Hotels.
