Site Manager Power Generation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large-scale power generation facility in Saudi Arabia.

The role will have overall responsibility for plant operations, maintenance coordination, HSE, plant performance, reliability, manpower, resource planning, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in gas turbine and conventional thermal power generation, with proven leadership of 24/7 multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Operations & Maintenance activities of the power generation site.


• Ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations.


• Manage plant performance, availability, reliability, production targets, and operational efficiency.


• Lead and develop multidisciplinary 24/7 Operations and Maintenance teams.


• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safety rules, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.


• Coordinate with major clients, OEMs, contractors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.


• Develop and implement production, maintenance, outage, and operational plans.


• Manage manpower, resources, budgets, business plans, and operational risks.


• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Oversee major outages, maintenance activities, plant shutdowns, and equipment reliability programs.


• Ensure effective work control and adherence to formal safety authorization procedures.


• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve plant performance and reduce operational costs.


• Support strategic planning, policy development, and business improvement initiatives.


• Promote employee engagement, competency development, training, and succession planning.


• Ensure effective coordination between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, Finance, Procurement, and HR.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.


• 8–10+ years of experience in power generation / power plants.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in power plant, site, plant, or O&M management.


• Strong experience with Gas Turbines and conventional fossil-fuel power plants.


• Experience in Combined Cycle / Thermal Power Plants is highly preferred.


• Proven experience managing 24/7 multidisciplinary Operations & Maintenance teams.


• Strong understanding of plant reliability, availability, maintenance, and production management.


• Experience in budgeting, resource planning, business cases, and cost optimization.


• Strong knowledge of HSE, environmental, and operational safety frameworks.


• Experience managing abnormal operating conditions, incidents, and emergency situations.


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.


• Experience with major oil & gas / industrial clients is advantageous.


• Experience with GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar gas turbine technologies is preferred.
