Software Testing Specialist - Card Management & Payment Switch

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Testing Specialist with expertise in Card Management Systems (CMS) and Payment Switch technologies to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our financial transaction processing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in functional, integration, and regression testing for card issuance, transaction routing, authorization, clearing, and settlement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts for card management (issuance, PIN generation, card lifecycle) and payment switch (transaction routing, authorization, fraud checks, settlement) functionalities.
• Define test scenarios for EMV, ISO 8583, PCI-DSS compliance, and NFC/contactless payments.

Functional & Integration Testing:

• Validate end-to-end transaction flows (ATM, POS, e-commerce) across issuers, acquirers, and payment networks.
• Test dispute handling, chargebacks, reversals, and reconciliation processes.
• Verify integration with third-party processors, banks, and fraud detection systems.

Performance & Security Testing:

• Conduct load/stress testing to ensure the payment switch handles high transaction volumes.
• Validate data encryption, tokenization, and PCI compliance in card transactions.

Defect Management:

• Log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA,
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues in authorization declines, timeout errors, or settlement failures.

Automation & Tools:

• Automate test cases using Postman, SOAP UI or payment simulators.
• Work with payment switch vendors (e.g., ACI, FIS, IST) or CMS platforms ( Cortex,.).

Regulatory & Compliance Testing:

• Ensure adherence to EMV, PCI-DSS, PSD2, and local payment regulations.
• Validate 3DS (3-D Secure) authentication and tokenization (e.g., Visa Token Service).

• Experience: 3+ years in testing card management systems (CMS), payment switches, or transaction processing platforms.
• Technical Knowledge:

1. Payment protocols: ISO 8583, ISO 20022, REST APIs.
2. Card schemes: Visa, Mastercard or other networks.
3. Testing tools: Postman, JMeter, SQL

• Domain Knowledge:

1. Understanding of ATM/POS transactions, mobile payments, and fraud detection.
2. Familiarity with HPSM, Base24, or similar switch technologies.
