Job Overview:

A leading upscale café concept, known for exceptional culinary experiences, is excited to open its newest location in Riyadh. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef with expertise in Mediterranean cuisine to become part of our dedicated culinary team. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of food preparation, menu innovation, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintaining excellence in food preparation, presentation, and consistency.
• Create and execute innovative Mediterranean-inspired dishes and seasonal menus.
• Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team, fostering an environment focused on culinary excellence, teamwork, and creativity.
• Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene, health, and safety standards and protocols.
• Manage food inventory effectively, controlling kitchen costs and minimizing wastage.
• Support recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives for culinary staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef, preferably within a premium Mediterranean or fine dining establishment.
• Demonstrated culinary expertise with extensive knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients, culinary traditions, and contemporary cooking techniques.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire culinary teams.
• Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, cost control, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with local and international hygiene and safety regulations.
• Fluent English language skills; Arabic language proficiency is beneficial but not essential.
