Sr. Design Manager

Position: Sr. Design Manager

Job Summary:

As the Sr. Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process for various projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project requirements and are completed within budget and on time. You will also be responsible for managing a team of designers and providing guidance and support throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality designs are produced

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop design strategies and plans that meet project requirements and objectives

- Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards

- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may impact the design process

- Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements and cost-saving measures

- Manage the budget and resources for the design team, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the design process

- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the design process and deliver innovative solutions to clients

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 20 years of experience in design management, preferably in the construction industry

- Strong leadership and project management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- In-depth knowledge of design principles, building codes, and regulations

- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp

- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering design projects on time and within budget

- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
