Subject Matter Expert - Gear Pump (Polymer Processing) - Short Term 3 Months

We are seeking an experienced Gear Pump Subject Matter Expert (SME) with more than 20 years of experience in polymer processing plants and polymer equipment. The successful candidate will provide specialized technical expertise in the removal, installation, overhauling, troubleshooting, commissioning, and operation of MAAG Vacorex VX450/560 gear pumps and associated polymer processing equipment.

The candidate must have hands-on experience with DOW solution technology and back-end systems, including pelletizers, extruders, and gearboxes.

• Lead and provide technical guidance for the removal, lifting, dismantling, cleaning, inspection, and reinstallation of gear pumps.
• Perform troubleshooting, overhauling, commissioning support, and test runs for MAAG Vacorex VX450/560 gear pumps.
• Carry out packing/seal replacement and timing gear adjustments.
• Diagnose and resolve gear pump and gearbox operational issues.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and normal operation using DOW solution technology.
• Provide technical support for associated back-end systems, including pelletizers and extruders.
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, equipment integrity, and safe execution of maintenance activities.
• Provide specialist recommendations and practical guidance to the maintenance and turnaround teams.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• More than 15 years of experience in polymer processing plants and polymer equipment.
• Proven hands-on experience in gear pump removal, installation, troubleshooting, lifting, cleaning, and testing.
• Direct experience with MAAG Vacorex VX450/560 gear pump overhauling.
• Experience with DOW solution technology for commissioning, start-up, and normal operation.
• Experience with packing replacement and timing gear adjustment.
• Working knowledge of gearboxes, extruders, pelletizers, and polymer plant back-end systems.
