Supervisor, Instrumentation

Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

1. Getting feedback from Production Shift In charge / Superintendent (I & C) for any work required.


2. Plan the manpower (Foreman + Technician) for all jobs.


3. Ensuring the quality of Work and safety in the work areas.


4. Ensure availability of spares & consumable for shift activity & inform any unavailability to concerned Superintendent.


5. Follow up instrument calibration & PM schedule & prepare the calibration / PM reports.


6. Prepare ISO related documents.


7. Calibration of Weigh feeders & Belt weighing systems.


8. Calibration & PM checks for Analyzers systems.


9. Handover the shift while ensuring that.




1. All Pending Work Permit


2. During reliving time, inform all the job status to Reliever.


3. Availability of Test Equipment and Common Tools.


4. Ensure that standard practices are being followed and any deviation reported.


5. All the Plant activity should be recorded in the Shift log.


6. Housekeeping is well controlled after completion of all job.




10. Required Training conducting for Subordinates (Foreman & Technician)


11. Close Co-ordination with Process and other Departments.


12. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.


13. To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.


14. To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.


15. To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines of equipment to concern staff.


16. To keep the provided PPEs in good & workable conditions.


17. To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.


18. To report any accidents, near misses of hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.


19. To attend safety training planned


20. Having a right to say “NO” to any unsafe work.
