Technician / Handyman

Waad Education is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician/Handyman to join our facilities team. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and safe operation of the company's facilities. This includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other related tasks to ensure optimal facility performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing bulbs, minor plumbing, equipment repairs).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with external vendors for complex maintenance and repair needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Assist with any additional tasks assigned by line managers related to the role.

• Diploma in Maintenance Technology or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing facility-related equipment.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work independently and follow maintenance protocols.
