Technician, Instrumentation

Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

1. Check the availability of all Test Equipment and Tools required to perform the jobs.


2. To perform planned & routine jobs as per instructions from Foreman / Supervisor.


3. Carry out for Field instrument calibration and Instrument Preventive Maintenance (PM) jobs & provide the calibration data to Foreman / Supervisor.


4. To inform Foreman / Supervisor about any abnormality observed during PM / calibration.


5. Handover the shift while ensuring that.




1. All Test Equipment’s are in working condition.


2. All Work permits are filed.


3. During shift reliving time, inform all job status to next shift reliever.


4. Availability of Common Tools.


5. Ensure that standard practices are being followed and any deviation reported.


6. Housekeeping is well controlled after completion of all jobs.




6. Ensuring the availability of required tools.


7. Inform concerned authorities for any abnormalities during the working shift duty.


8. Required Training conducting for Subordinates (Foreman & Technician)


9. Close Co-ordination with Process and other Departments.


10. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.


11. To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.


12. To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.


13. To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines of equipment to concern staff.


14. To keep the provided PPEs in good & workable conditions.


15. To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.


16. To report any accidents, near misses of hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.


17. To attend safety training planned


18. Having a right to say “NO” to any unsafe work.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Keep in co-ordination with department & other department during plant Breakdowns & emergency situations.


2. To follow DRIC plant safety guidelines strictly.
