What will I bedoing

As a Switchboard Telephonist youwill accept deliver and respond to Guest and management messagesinquiries and emergencies using your knowledge of the hotelfacilities services and the local vicinity to quickly respond tothe customer. A Switchboard Telephonist contributes to the firstimpressions of our Guests and therefore must perform the followingtasks to the highest standards:

• Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely andefficient manner
• Accept and deliver allmessages correctly and promptly for both Guests andmanagement
• Ensure all wakeup calls take placeat the correct time
• Demonstrate knowledge ofall hotel facilities and services and use upselling techniques topromote these offerings when theappropriate
• Handle emergency calls immediatelyand relay comprehensive and accurate information asrequired
• Demonstrate a high level of customerservice at all times
• Comply with hotel securityfire regulations and all health and safetylegislation
• Attend appropriate training courseswhen required
• Demonstrate a knowledge of allhotel services local attractions and landmarks in the hotelvicinity
• Follow company brandstandards
• Assist other departments asnecessary
