Job Description - Transportation Team Leader

Ensure the efficient processing of outbound shipments.
Prevent backlogs and ensure timely shipment dispatch.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans for underperforming team members.
Adhere to established transfer order protocols to ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time based on the policy of the company.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment (e.g., forklifts, loading docks) and working areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Coordinate with the warehousing and inbound teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and optimize space utilization in the outbound area. Collaborate with the inbound team to streamline logistics and overall operations.
Foster a positive, results-driven, and collaborative team environment.
Ensure proper loading techniques are followed to prevent damage to goods during transit.
Verify compliance with Gate Pass requirements for all outbound shipments.
Ensure proper documentation is in place for each shipment.
Quickly and accurately identify the root cause of the operational issue
Put the chosen solution into action promptly to minimize disruption
Manage and prepare ground areas for the next shift to ensure operational readiness.
Communicate with management on missing or delayed batches, providing status updates and resolution plans.
Work closely with other zone teams to facilitate seamless order processing.
