Workforce Venue Manager - International Sporting Event

Location: Riyadh / Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Contract: December 2026  - January 2027 

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Venue Manager to lead the planning, coordination and deployment of the event workforce across assigned venues for an international sporting event . This is a fast-paced, high-profile assignment requiring strong operational coordination, workforce planning and stakeholder management skills.

The successful candidate will work closely with HR, venue operations, workforce, project delivery and event teams to ensure the right people are recruited, scheduled, equipped and deployed at the right place and time.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Deployment

• Develop and maintain detailed workforce plans for assigned venues.


• Determine workforce requirements based on operational plans, venue needs and event schedules.


• Coordinate workforce allocation, deployment and daily staffing requirements.


• Monitor manpower levels, attendance, deployment and workforce movements.


• Identify staffing gaps, risks and operational issues and implement timely solutions.


• Support workforce mobilisation before and during event operations.

Venue Workforce Coordination

• Act as the key workforce point of contact for assigned venues.


• Coordinate closely with venue management, operations and functional leads.


• Ensure workforce requirements are aligned with venue operational plans and event schedules.


• Support daily workforce briefings, deployment and issue resolution during event periods.


• Maintain accurate workforce records and provide regular status reports.

Uniforms & Workforce Logistics

• Coordinate workforce uniform requirements, sizing, allocation and distribution.


• Track uniform inventory and ensure workforce members receive the correct items before deployment.


• Coordinate with logistics and venue teams to resolve uniform and workforce-related issues.

Volunteers

• Support volunteer workforce planning, allocation and deployment across venues.


• Coordinate volunteer numbers, shifts, roles and operational requirements.


• Work with volunteer management teams to ensure effective venue coverage.


• Monitor volunteer attendance and deployment throughout the event.

Workforce Systems & Data

• Maintain accurate workforce data across relevant systems and trackers.


• Produce workforce reports, dashboards and deployment updates.


• Use Excel and workforce management systems to track manpower, schedules, attendance and deployment.


• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and timely reporting.


• Support system updates and resolve workforce data discrepancies.

Stakeholder Management

• Work collaboratively with HR, operations, project delivery, venue management, volunteers, logistics and other functional teams.


• Provide clear and timely workforce updates to senior stakeholders.


• Escalate workforce risks and issues appropriately.


• Support cross-functional coordination during event delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in workforce planning, workforce management, manpower operations or event workforce coordination.


• Experience working on large-scale sporting events, football events, major events or complex operational projects is highly desirable.


• Strong understanding of workforce scheduling, deployment and manpower tracking.


• Strong Excel and data-management skills.


• Experience working with workforce management, HR or scheduling systems.


• Strong organisational and coordination skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.


• Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-management skills.


• Strong attention to detail and a highly hands-on approach.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on workforce/event operations professional who can move quickly from workforce planning into on-the-ground venue delivery.

You will be comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, managing large workforce datasets, solving operational issues and ensuring workforce readiness in a high-profile international sporting environment.
