Job Description - Rentals Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager

Job Summary

The Combustion Rental Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new RFQ's and promoting our Rental capabilities within the Middle East Region. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and have a competent engineering background, ideally in the Oil & Gas industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team at the European head office and ultimately Zeeco Inc, our head office in the USA, to ensure targets and progression goals are achieved.

Candidate Responsibilities

As the Combustion Rentals Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager your main focus will be to promote our Combustion Rental capabilities and work with the client to provide solutions that would facilitate our systems. Primarily Rental Flares, the candidate should interpret the clients needs and have a good understanding of process systems to promote full solutions.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate technical knowledge within the combustion and/or oil and gas industry or be willing to learn and progress within a growing business. The role will be office based, however a key aspect of the role will be the requirement to travel, often at short notice, to customers in the Middle East Region to provide heroic support which may include site visits and technical support.

  • Implement a sales strategy focusing on end users throughout the territories listed with particular focus on identifying potential opportunities.
  • Analyse new enquiries and optimise offers liaising with relevant personnel to maximise our chances of securing orders and contracts.
  • Meet and deliver agreed targets through proactive new business development and grow the existing customer base.
  • Identify new and grow exisiting sales opportunities.
  • Educate Zeeco's customers through on-site training, presentations, troubleshooting, equipment walk-downs, etc.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned that are based on appropriate skills and experience.
  • Working with other Zeeco departments within the Middle East Region to obtain leads and opportunities.
  • Follow up leads and where necessary, promote the Rentals business across Middle East.
  • Writes, edits, and signs formal quotation and/or advise verbally to customer. Follows up on any written or verbal correspondence with customer.
  • Complete follow ups (not limited to): Written, Verbal, Technical, Pre-order and Post-order.
  • Carryout process design for the correct selection of the relevant combustion equipment to meet the client's needs.
  • Works closely with the order execution teams to solve any issues that may arise, included but not limited to technical, commercial, or financial problems.

Experience & Competencies:

  • Engineering background and past employment within the Process / Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Relevant Engineering de gree (Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering) - although not essential.
  • Work Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry beneficial.
  • Experience of Combustion Rental Equipment within the industry essential.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator verbal and written.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and have a good technical knowledge of the industry.
  • Confident presentation skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Resourceful, well organised, highly dependable, efficient and detail orientated.
  • Confident and assertive.
  • Ability to use initiative and make decisions autonomously.
  • Able to work at heights
  • Computer literate, proficient with Excel, Word and familiarisation with Sage accounting.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Arabic.

Further Requirement:

  • Live local to Zeeco Middle East facility (Dammam) or be willing to relocate.
  • Must be able to drive, driving license with own transport.
  • Must be willing to travel to meet business needs.
