Job Description - Business Development Director

The role of Business Development Director is to grow the business across the GCC region with main focus on KSA, taking charge of building relationships and business opportunities with key customers, mostly mobile operators and financial services with strong foothold in the GCC market. This position is key to our organization and gives the opportunity to sit in the driving seat of our business growth, making a tremendous impact on the overall trajectory of Mondia in this region.

Responsibilities include: Develop, implement and own a customer-centric business development and market growth strategy for increasing sales and profits; ensuring consistent, profitable growth in revenue

  1. Generate new business, identifying and developing new customers, and meeting with clients to close deals
  2. Generate revenue across all verticals of our business, handling the entire sales life cycle
  3. Identify and set ambitious revenue targets for the region, accomplishing short and long-term results through achievement of KPIs
  4. Develop and cultivate deep relationships with senior management at clients' Business Unit Head and C-level to upsell new solutions and to seek better revenue / margin realization
  5. Identify and understand trends within client departments, the overall industry and competition
  6. Proactively provide smart client research and industry specific information
  7. Pipeline and Revenue management / forecasting on a regular basis (weekly, monthly and quarterly)
  8. Effectively collaborate with internal and external customers on business-related support activities, e.g. design and implementation of differentiated and profitable solutions, troubleshooting/Issue resolution
  9. Act as a Brand Ambassador and represent the company at community events and other business-related meetings, promoting the company products and services
  10. Attracting, developing and retaining Rockstar talent to support local commercial operations once the business has grown sufficiently

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally dynamic and driven individual with an extensive and autonomous approach to business development. They would also be focused on demonstrating excellence in service delivery and problem-solving; breaking down complex information into understandable and actionable items. Those with experience in the mobile digital entertainment and mobile payment industries would be at a distinct advantage.

  1. Proven track record of Business Development experience, ideally within a Digital Content/Technology, Information Service Provider or Mobile Digital Entertainment/Payments organization
  2. Excellent network of contacts within the Telecom Operator and financial services landscape across GCC especially KSA
  3. Background in digital technologies, Video, Games, payments or programmatic platforms would be additional benefit
  4. Strong communication skills with a client-centric approach to solution-selling and ability to influence and articulate a value proposition based on client understanding of the business
  5. A proven track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and execution
  6. Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of revenue forecasting and managing P&L reporting
  7. Fluent in English and Arabic in oral and written form, other languages would be advantageous
  8. Ability to travel regionally
