Responsibilities
• Working closely with Operations Managers to set profit goals and other business KPIs • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers, suppliers, and Government Agencies • Supporting in developing new strategies for the Education Division • Working with sales team (and Operations Managers) to develop detailed annual sales targets • Monitoring team performance and updating sales plans • Approving sales discounts in accordance with agreed authority Matrix • Updating MD and EVP-BO on sales v. targets • Managing and monitoring sales team collection performance • Managing a geographically dispersed sales team to ensure effective achievement of targets • Ensuring team are appropriately trained in product knowledge • Monitoring team performance and mentoring underperforming team members (or replace if necessary) • Recruiting new suitably qualified personnel as required • Approving vacations ensuring that these do not clash with business requirements • Effectively leading and managing the sales support team • Identifying potential new revenue opportunities • Seeking out new supplier / partnership opportunities • Preparing plans (including financial models) for new opportunities for SEVP approval • Executing on approved plans • Maintaining and developing relationships with customers with a focus on Key Account Executives • Creating new supplier relationships to develop new business lines • Strengthening working relationships with key partners including HMH and Scholastic • Being the key Tihama point of contact for Moe and Tatweer • Ensuring all required approvals are received in a timely manner • Meeting with MoE senior officials to present new opportunities and ideas • Converting sales plans into financial projections (budgets and forecasts) • Ensuring actions are taken to achieve Education Division financial targets • Approving team expenses • Identifying economic and market trends and making recommendation on these to senior management • Gathering information on market competitors and preparing updates for senior managers • Supporting EVP in development of Strategic Plans • Execution of projects required to support any chosen new strategies • Creating and delivering promotional plans for the selling season • Developing online (including social media) strategies for delivering business growth and customer awareness • Developing and maintaining operational policies • Providing ad-hoc support for EVP and MD as required
Requirements
• Proven working experience in working in sales and Marketing within the Education Sector • Commercially savvy • Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams • Gravitas ad presence to present credibly to senior executives and Government officials (including Ministers) • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills • Proven knowledge of Education delivery and teaching methodologies • Well informed of trends within the Education sector • BS degree • Saudi National Preferred
