Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Project Engineer to join our team. The Chemical Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing chemical-related projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, optimizing processes, and providing technical expertise. This role requires a strong background in chemical engineering, project management, and a deep understanding of industrial service or waste management operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage chemical-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the industrial service or waste management operations.
  • Conduct analysis, develop innovative solutions, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support in chemical engineering principles and practices.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and propose engineering solutions to address complex challenges and optimize project outcomes.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures, risk assessments, and control measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with chemical processes and waste management activities.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Generate accurate and detailed reports highlighting project milestones, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to understand project requirements, provide technical guidance, and foster effective communication.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and reliability of chemical processes and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and performance evaluations to identify deviations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in chemical engineering and project management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in chemical engineering projects, preferably in the industrial service or waste management sector.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processes, waste management practices, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and protocols.
