JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Infrastructure and Underground Utilities BIM Engineer

We are seeking an experienced BIM Engineer specializing in Infrastructure and Underground Utilities to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in civil engineering, BIM modeling, and coordination of medium to mega projects. In addition, the candidate should have knowledge of the GCC region and be proficient in using Autodesk Civil 3D, Infraworks, Revit, Autocad, and Navisworks. The candidate should also understand BIM standards such as PAS 1192, ISO 1950, BIM forum LOD specifications, and BIM coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the road infrastructure projects using BIM processes, standards, and project information delivery cycle.
• Develop and maintain project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and BIM Model Development Plans (MDP) to ensure all project stakeholders are aligned with BIM processes and standards.
• Generate 3D models of road infrastructure projects using Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and Autocad.
• Generate design drawings and shop drawings for road infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards and project requirements, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure BIM models are coordinated and clash-free.
• Collaborate with the design team and other stakeholders to optimize design and construction processes using BIM.
• Coordinate the design, design issues, and BIM issues using Autodesk BIM 360 platform.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team on BIM processes, standards, and technologies.
• Review and validate project deliverables to ensure they meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of BIM models and project deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with the project team to identify and resolve technical issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in Infrastructure and Underground Utilities BIM modeling and coordination of medium to mega projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes, standards, and technologies.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Infraworks, Revit, Autocad, and Navisworks.
• Perfect understanding of BIM standards such as PAS 1192, ISO 1950, BIM forum LOD specifications, and BIM coordination.
• Experience in leading and managing teams of engineers and BIM modelers.
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with different stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to work collaboratively with the project team.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and BIM modelers.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in creating 4D simulations in Navisworks and Synchro is a plus.
• Knowledge of creating 5D in Cost X is a credit.
