Basic Function Responsible for planning and managing shipments, scheduling route optimization, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of services to customers. He monitors transportation costs, maintain records, external sourcing, ensure compliance with TGA, Ports & Shipping regulations of Saudi Arabia. Manage the operation team and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible for managing logistics and ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and within budget. Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the shipments from Order receiving to the end-user.
- Obtain advance information from clients for prior planning.
- Schedule daily and weekly routes, and optimizing the trips with maximum efficiency and profitable.
- Track orders using functional systems
- Monitor and report on transportation costs
- Outsourcing in essential situation. Identify and arrange contract with efficient suppliers.
- Ensure the team are doing right transport/shipping documents and system entrees.
- Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment.
- Research and suggest cost-effective transport/shipping methods
- Conduct regular safety audits on equipment
- Conduct periodic inspection and auditing in Maintenance
- Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines, handling of hazardous material, special projects, etc.)
- Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
- Ensure compliance with company policies, TGA, Transport, Ports and shipping legislation.
- Stay up-to-date with safety regulations.
Others - Report with Daily performance, Weekly productivity, and Monthly report of each branch of Transport department.
Education And Qualification - Graduation or above.
- Masters in Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant field is a plus
Professional Experience - Proven work experience of minimum 5 years as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role
- Solid knowledge of supply chain management
