Job Summary


Oversee a cross-functional team engaged in logistics, procurement, sourcing and contracting activities contracts management and distribution. This role requires the integration of the organization's people, activities, information and resources to ensure swift and efficient movement of product which in-turns lead to the successful delivery of the SLAs. With an entrepreneurial and analytical mind set, the focus of the role is to achieve lean synchronization.


Job Responsibilities


  • Strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing demand and supply; aligns volume and mix with capacity and capability; and integrates financial and operating plans within strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results.
  • Develop, monitor, and revise production and sourcing plans, in the short and long term, to optimize the use of manpower, equipment and financial resources while meeting the needs of customers.
  • Execute the company's supply Chain strategy whilst ensuring compliance to the policies and procedures.
  • Develop support metrics, tools and reporting that will enable Manufacturing plant and Procurement to achieve these service level and inventory targets.
  • Manage & Lead Risk Release program to ensure success of the program between the balance of Inventory (Capital) and convertibility (revenue generation).
  • Track performance metrics and analysis to identify both opportunities and potential issues within Supply Chain processes and reporting as well as those across departments; provide insights and recommendations to help improve results.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics; Distribution to evaluate the demand/production plan against inventory, capacity and external factors and to create mitigation actions if needed.
  • Facilitate prioritizing demand and/or allocating supply to a customer or region when demand exceeds supply.
  • Identify significant business risks and escalate to the appropriate leadership teams.
  • Ensure efficient communication across functional teams for any trends, drivers, and takeaways in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify and implement supply chain initiatives to improve efficiencies, cost, waste reduction and other lean principles.
  • Ensure that efficient transportation systems are drafted and executed. The objective is to optimize, control and organize strategic logistics processes (receiving, distribution and returns logistics).
  • Effective management of all the storage spaces while maintaining minimum stock levels and planning the on-time delivery of distribution in a safe manner, with best practice.
  • Prepare, maintain, & control all budgets to ensure that expenditure is in line with the business plan.
  • Review all purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy and adequacy. Participate in the tendering process by drafting the commercial terms, T&C, contracts and managing the negotiation process.
  • Responsible to maintain and develop relationships with customer and suppliers. Ensure agreement and delivery on SLAs and review and maintain terms.
  • Resolves bottlenecks or problem areas in the supply chain. Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Support the IKTVA initiative.
  • Oversee supplier relationship models, engage with suppliers to improve performance and direct the strategic sourcing functions.
  • Build a team and map out clear performance targets and measures ensuring the progression of all individuals.
  • Negotiate better pricing, volume discounts, preferential production scheduling, and quality deliveries.
  • Maintain awareness of supply sources and key market and pricing trends.
  • Review and update or establish standardized processes and procedures in collaboration with other departments utilizing continuous improvement techniques.
  • Work closely with Quality to ensure processes are in alignment with company Quality and customer Quality requirements.
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other supervisors.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a supply chain professional.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Supply Chain Management including Global Sourcing and Procurement (Capex, MRO), Customs, Logistics, Inventory, Onshore and Offshore Warehousing, Travel, Facilities Management and managing Supply Chain personnel across all disciplines.
  • Familiar with shop operations, facilitations, production control, manufacturing or materials functions.
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in lean principles/methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills, including multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details. Adaptable to multiple requests, daily changes and still deliver on commitments.
  • Data-driven with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work independently while still functioning well in a team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and colleagues cross-functionally.
  • People management experience including strong interpersonal and leadership skills: meeting facilitation, skill sharing and training, organization, conflict management, change agent, manage relationships.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
