Job Description - Riyadh Operation Facilities & Production Intern

What You'll Do

This role sits within the Facilities & Operations function and provides hands-on exposure to both day-to-day office operations and structured project management practices. The intern will support ongoing facilities activities while contributing to planning, coordination, tracking, reporting, and process improvement initiatives, including a key project involving the transition of facilities services to an outsourced model.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations & Coordination
  • Support daily facilities operations to ensure smooth functioning of the office environment
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors (maintenance, catering, supplies) to ensure timely service delivery
  • Manage facilities-related requests and track completion of maintenance activities (e.g., HVAC, lighting, repairs)
  • Oversee office supplies, inventory levels, and procurement processes
  • Support administrative activities including document handling, mailroom management, and vendor documentation
  • Ensure readiness and quality of workspaces, meeting rooms, and common areas
  • Assist with compliance-related processes such as access management and permits

Project Management & Process Improvement (Core Development Area)
  • Support planning and coordination of facilities-related initiatives and operational projects
  • Maintain project trackers, monitor progress, and ensure timely follow-up on action items
  • Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of tasks
  • Contribute to the facilities outsourcing transition project by:
  • Monitoring implementation progress and tracking milestones
  • Identifying gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in processes
  • Conducting structured analysis of operational data
  • Preparing reports with insights, recommendations, and corrective actions
  • Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service quality and response times
  • Assist in process mapping and identifying opportunities for operational improvement
  • Contribute to periodic reporting on project progress and operational performance

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the candidate will gain:
  • Practical experience in project coordination within a real operational environment
  • Exposure to project tracking tools, reporting frameworks, and KPI monitoring
  • Experience in vendor management and cross-functional coordination
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies and operational efficiency
  • Hands-on involvement in a real transformation project (outsourcing transition)

What You'll Bring

  • Final-year university student eligible for COOP in June 2026
  • Strong verbal communication skills; fluency in English and Arabic
  • Interest in Operations, Facilities Management, or Project Management
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred

You will be working closely with the Operations team. You will regularly interact with internal teams, and external vendors. The team is very collaborative and enjoys learning and mentoring each other. Your manager will be a great resource for support and troubleshooting and will provide developmental guidance and support as you grow your career at BCG.
