Optometrist - Clinic - Room for Advancement

Responsibilities:

• Gather detailed case histories from patients through effective communication.
• Conduct eye examinations for patients across all age groups to identify indications of injury, illness, abnormalities, or vision impairments.
• Maintain awareness for signs and symptoms of underlying health conditions, such as diabetes.
• Perform eye examinations and provide fitting services for spectacles or contact lenses.
• Provide guidance and reassurance regarding vision-related concerns.
• Assist patients in selecting appropriate frames and lenses, offering tailored advice.
• Draft referral communications to medical professionals as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, sharing responsibility for patients with chronic eye conditions.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to stay updated in the field.
• Supervise staff, including dispensing opticians and clerical personnel, and mentor junior colleagues.
• Oversee the retail aspect of spectacles, contact lenses, and related vision care products.
• Manage the administration, organization, and development planning of the practice.
• Coordinate with sales representatives from suppliers of vision care products.
• Provide assistance to surgeons in the refractive operating room.

Requirements:

• With Diploma or Degree in Optometry
• At least 3 years relevant experience
• Fully registered with OOB
