Senior / Supplier Quality Engineer (Mechanical) - Positive Work Culture

Job Description: 

• The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining Company’s Approved Supplier List to meet Company’s requirements. The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible to ensure quality of the parts/services provided by the suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Lead QMS (Quality Management System) and Process audit for initial evaluation of new supplier and re-evaluate of existing approved suppliers to comply with ISO 9001/API Q1 and Company’s requirements.
• Monitor supplier's performance, analyze data to identify the risk and drive performance improvement plan to meet company’s supplier quality expectations.
• Lead investigation of Supplier Quality Issues by collaborating with all relevant internal and external stakeholders including Engineering team, SME (Subject Matter Expert), suppliers, etc. 
• Initiate and guiding supplier to conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) using the appropriate quality tools: 8D Methodology, The 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and other applicable problem-solving techniques.
• Execute Parts and Process Qualification Plan with suppliers.
• Setup Quality Inspection criteria (QIR) for new parts purchased from suppliers.
• Involve in supplier selection with sourcing team to input quality perspective.
• Provide training and addressing supplier’s technical queries.
• Support development and implementation of strategic initiatives when assigned.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience Supplier Quality or Manufacturing or Engineering or Project Management related functions.
