Head, Finance - Hiring Immediately

You will be responsible for performing financial and management reporting, monitoring trade settlements, safeguarding of the company’s assets by enforcing a high standard of internal controls, compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policies, liaison with internal and external stakeholders. This role is for a newly set up entity in the PhillipCapital group.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full spectrum of financial and accounting functions, including preparation of financial statements, management information reports, tax filings and assist in some corporate secretarial work
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls that align with company’s vision, mission, and values
• Monitor company’s cash flow and liquidity requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable provisions of the Securities and Futures Act and other regulations
• Monitor and liaise with the company’s designated trade settlement agent to ensure that the company’s market participants’ trades are settled on time
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of financial reports to meet regulatory reporting requirements as specified by authorities (MAS, ACRA, IRAS)
• Analyse financial data and performance indicators, and provide insights and recommendations to support decision making and strategic planning
• Work closely with the management team, internal stakeholders and assist in ad hoc office matters
• Liaise with the company’s bankers, external auditors, group internal auditors and group corporate secretary as and when required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience
• Degree in Accountancy or Finance or recognised accounting qualification. Professional qualification is a plus.

• System-savvy, with good communication and interpersonal skills
