Job Description: HR Assistant (Payroll)

Responsibilities 

  • Assist HR Supervisor on the monthly payroll processing.
  • Verify, update and maintain attendance records in Time Management System (TMS).
  • Assist in timesheet calculation. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of personnel information in database/HRIS.
  • Assist in leave administration. 
  • Attends to staff’s queries on salary discrepancies and leave matters.
  • Liaise with Finance on bank deductions or funds received (e.g Skill Future, MSF-Gov Paid Leave, NSMEN, WPOL/EPOL bill).
  • Assist in the tax submission to IRAS (IR21 & IR8A).
  • Perform other duties assigned by superior/management

Requirements 

  • Candidates to possess a Diploma minimally
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in payroll or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
  • Good knowledge of Employment Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful and open-minded to challenges & new initiatives
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Positive learning attitude, self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Familiar and working knowledge of INFO Tech System would be an advantage.
