Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Technical Sales Engineer to join our sales team. The Technical Sales Engineer will serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing expertise on our fire protection solutions and guiding them through the sales process. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering value-added solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Consultation and Solution Design:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their fire protection needs, requirements, and challenges.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to gather information and assess technical feasibility.
  • Design customized fire protection solutions based on client specifications, industry standards, and best practices.

2. Product Demonstration and Presentation:

  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical workshops for clients to showcase our fire protection solutions.
  • Explain the features, benefits, and technical specifications of our products/services in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Address technical inquiries, concerns, and objections raised by clients during the sales process.

3. Proposal Development and Quotation:

  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, and bids in response to client requirements and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop pricing strategies, cost estimates, and value propositions that meet client needs and budget constraints.
  • Present proposals to clients and negotiate terms and conditions to secure sales contracts.

4. Project Coordination and Support:

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, sales team, and project management team to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers, installation teams, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and optimize future projects.

5. Technical Training and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory requirements related to fire protection systems and technologies.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal teams, clients, and partners on technical topics, product features, and installation best practices.
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Required/Preferred Qualifications and Qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum of [X years] of experience in technical sales, engineering, or a related field, preferably in the fire protection or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection systems, codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, FM Global, LPCB).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other technical tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.
