JOB TITLE - Engineering Assistant

DEPARTMENT - Quality Assurance

PURPOSE OF JOB

• Assures product quality requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the Plant’s quality system and in compliance with corporate policies, customer, regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Maintain / manage calibration and preventive maintenance systems.
• Provide support for testing, data collection and tabulation for evaluations and validation activities
• Contributes to opportunities for continual improvement and to support QE Section initiatives in respective function so as to achieve departmental goals in alignment to Plant’s vision, objectives and shared values.
• Work with cross functional teams/departments to ensure product quality and quality system requirements are fulfilled including effectiveness review of system for continual improvement.
• Work with section and/or cross functional teams in achieving QE section initiatives in respective function so as to support departmental goals in alignment to Plant’s vision, objectives and shared values..
 

JOB FUNCTION

1. Perform and coordinate calibration functions for the site.
2. Prepare and issue periodic calibration and preventive maintenance schedules to equipment and user.
3. Liaise with equipment and users and calibration vendors for calibration schedule. Ensure that equipment is calibration as per schedule.
4. Verify, review and approve calibration reports.
5. Administer and maintain equipment located at Test/Metrology Laboratory.
6. Maintain database for calibration and preventive maintenance.
7. Manage calibration NCRs by ensuring timely and proper closure.
8. Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance records.
9. Ensure compliance of the Test/Metrology Laboratory to required regulatory standards.
10. Receive and acknowledge documented procedures from document control and maintains Test/Metrology Laboratory posting location.
11. Identify cost saving opportunities in calibration activities and drive the implementation.
12. Control budget expenditures for external calibration.
13. Provide support for testing, data collection and tabulation for evaluation and validation activities.
14. Provide support in the preparation for external audit by regulatory authority, or any other third part.
15. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with all related safety regulations and environmental policy in the company.
16. Manage individual performance objectives effectively to ensure the department and plant objective are met.
17. Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

INTERACTION
Internal parties: • All levels of plant operation personnel.
External parties: • Close Interaction with external calibration suppliers to perform calibration activities.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Diploma / ITE in Electronics or Mechanical.
• Diploma/Advance Diploma holder with a least 2-3 years of relevant experience or
• O level/A level/ITE with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in ISO 9001quality system environment will be an added advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
