Packaging Design Engineer | West

We are looking for committed engineers to help develop packaging solutions that prioritise safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Description

• Researching and evaluating materials and packaging options
• Prototyping and testing designs
• Conducting performance tests
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and quality control
• Identifying areas for packaging improvement
• Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
• Performing thorough on-site inspections to meet project specifications and quality standards.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in packaging development or similar field
• Understanding of packaging manufacturing processes and systems
• Proficiency in design software like Creo Elements, Creo, or SolidWorks
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, particularly in sustainable packaging design
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant demeanour
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities
• Familiarity with professional tools such as online meetings and presentations
• Must be fluent in English

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, from a reputable institution
• Alternatively, a diploma in related fields such as mechanical, packaging, or material engineering.

Benefits:

• Salary range from $3,000 to $4,500 depending on experience/qualifications
• AWS and 14 days annual leave
