We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to join us as Quality Inspector

The Quality & Engineering function is responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are understood and translated into robust processes, which comply with legal and quality approval requirements. This is achieved by working with all employees to increase the company’s efficiency, effectiveness and profitability by identifying and facilitating opportunities for improvement.
You will be responsible for performing detailed inspection of parts and paperwork in line with Customer and/or Industry Specifications, ensuring conforming product is released into the business and to customers.
About you
You will be responsible for:
• Performing inspection activities (using measurement equipment, gauges, CMM, non-contact measurement system etc.) to engineering specifications and standard operating procedures, to ensure product meets customer and industry requirements.
• Performing verification of traceability documents as required to ensure customer and company requirements are satisfied.
• Maintaining information and status within company data systems to ensure this remains up to date and accurate.
• Supporting problem investigation by ensuring clear and concise problem definitions are established when issues arise and communicate with supplies (as required) to help resolve technical problems.
• Using 8D tools to support QN response and corrective action request resolution.
• Occasionally conduct inspection of material inter site and or at supplier, customer sites as required, in order to verify material offsite.
• Liaising with suppliers on clear problem definition and return of non-conforming product
• Participation in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance.
• Complying with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.
Requirements
• Formal certification in mechanical engineering
• Some experience in interpreting Engineering drawings & specifications
• Some experience within inspection role
• Some experience of working within an automotive or aerospace industry will be an assett
• Good attention to details
• Good team working skills
• Good communication skills
