The Business Development Manager will be the in charge of increasing the market shares within the Singapore market through partnerships with key stakeholders and developing relationships with new clients in the market.


The Opportunity

  • Permanent role
  • Work location: Central Region
  • Work hours: 9am - 6pm


Adecco is partnering with a German MNC who is a leading window and façade solutions provider, with an APAC HQ based in Singapore, and they are looking for a sales driven Business Development Manager to join their expanding team! The Business Development Manager will be the in charge of increasing the market shares within the Singapore market through partnerships with key stakeholders and developing relationships with new clients in the market.


The Job

  • Responsible for achieving turnover targets in the Sales region (Singapore) and enhancing market share through effective management of existing partners and expansion of the partner network.
  • Drive sales of new products in the market.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly revenue forecasts to SEA/supervisor.
  • Develop a growth plan for existing and potential partner fabricators and key stakeholders like developers, architects, and façade consultants, providing updates to the supervisor during scheduled meetings.
  • Foster and nurture strong relationships with partner fabricators, developers, architects, and façade consultants through regular visits as per the weekly planning.
  • Coordinate appropriate support measures on behalf of partners with central support functions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to assist partners in showroom setup, planning, and updates on new products.
  • Responsible for identifying and evaluating potential new partner fabricators.
  • Consistently generate project pipeline through lead generation and proactive sales activities targeting developers, architects, façade consultants, fabricators, etc., including activities such as engaging with architects from initial engineering principles and managing the design and deal communication.
  • Follow up on made-to-order (MTO) details with customers, initiate initial price negotiations, and define delivery schedules.
  • Initiate claim procedures where necessary (customer site survey, quality and material defect checks, reporting, quantity issues, filing claim forms).
  • Collaborate with local and SEA technical resources to manage the entire process of design, fabrication, and installation, ensuring the successful completion of 'Won' projects.


The Talent

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in building material sales
  • Previous experience in the building material industry or a background in sales
  • Proficient in working towards and achieving sales targets, including cold-calling
  • Willing and at ease working on-site
  • Experience working with developers and architects would be an advantageous asset
