Senior Design Engineer - Career Growth Potential

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate customer specifications and bid document
• Define design parameters for the design of the electrical components
• Use optimization techniques and design electrical components to minimize total evaluated price
• Conducting basic calculations, required during Tender stage process
• Preparation of Technical Documentation and BoM lists during Tender submission stages
• Attending business meetings requiring technical background and company presentations, 
• Resolving issues which may occur during production and testing process
• Ensure that the designs meet international standards
• Prepare sales quotations for by selecting the best designs and making sure all the accessories meet customer specifications
• Update existing designs to optimize for minimum total evaluated price. 
• Support sales engineering and senior design engineers for resolving front end design related issues
• Standardize products and support supply chain in cost reduction projects
• Create and update wiring diagrams in AutoCAD 

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related major
• At least 5 years of work experience in designing transformers, Low voltage/ MV switchgears, distribution cabinet products, and distribution network automation solutions
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, Eplan or Etap
• Able to travel as required
• Experience with APAC projects will be an added advantage
• Strong sense of professionalism, sense of responsibility and communication skills
