Healthcare Attendant - Hiring Fast

Job Responsibilities

• Work in team or independently to carry out duties assigned by supervisor
• Assist the residents in maintaining the cleanliness of their room.
• Assist the residents in cleaning the ceiling fans and /or personal standing fans as and when necessary
• Help to clean the rooms of the frail residents
• Assist residents who fall under Category 2 ( RAF) in changing of bed-sheets/pillow cases
• Communicate and build rapport with residents where possible to educate residents on how best to assist them in achieving ADL & IADL independence
• Assist to wash residents ( under RAF 2 ) clothes as and when necessary. Dry , fold and place the clothing back into the storge boxes as placed in the laundry room
• Help the regular volunteers in food preparation for the residents
• Assist in distributing of food to the residents at the food serving area ( level 2 kitchen)
• Assist the regular volunteers to wash utensils after they have competed their cooking and to clearn up the kitchen( this includes sweeping, mopping of the floor; cleaning the table top area and throwing away the rubbish).
• Regular checking and maintain the cleanliness of all refrigerators. To discard food that is expired
• Buy lunch and dinner for frail residents and Halal food for Muslim residents.
• Escort residents to hospitals and polyclinics for their follow –up appointments whenever necessary.
• Assist in managing the residents on outings whenever necessary.
• To top up rations in the kitchen twice monthly and check the expiry date of the items.
• To conduct basic physical exercises for the residents
• To conduct regular checks on the equipment and ensure all are properly maintained
• Ensure clients’ confidentiality is maintained and adhered to PDPA policy when handling confidential information to stakeholders
• Report to the Care Associate / Enrolled Nurse / Staff Nurse / Nurse Manager on work-related problems
• Adhere to Infection control SOP

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School Education
• Able to read and write simple English
• Experience working in the healthcare and with the elderly
• Passion to help and able to work independently or in a team.
