Planning Manager (Semicon/Manufacturing)

Job Description:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer orders and inventory targets.
• Monitor and adjust schedules as needed based on production output, equipment availability, and changing demands.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to schedules and timely delivery of products.

2. Capacity Planning

• Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks.
• Plan and implement strategies to optimize production capacity and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

3. Inventory Management

• Manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels to meet production requirements and minimize excess inventory.
• Develop and maintain inventory tracking systems to ensure accuracy and accountability.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Work with quality assurance to ensure production meets quality standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams on new product introductions and process improvements.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting

• Utilize data analytics to monitor production performance, identify trends, and implement improvements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and capacity utilization to senior management.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to implement innovative solutions.
• Ensure optimal production efficiency, meeting customer demands, and maintaining high-quality standards.

7. Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor a team of planners and schedulers.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in production planning and scheduling within the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of production planning software and ERP/SAP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or specialized planning software.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for semiconductor manufacturing.
