Production Engineer

Job Description:

1. Responsible for analyzing existing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity while minimizing costs
2. Ensuring the highest standards of quality in manufactured products is paramount. Develop and implement quality control measures, conduct thorough inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any quality-related issues swiftly
3. Manage resources effectively, including raw materials, equipment, and manpower, to maximize output while adhering to budgetary constraints and sustainability goals
4. Embracing a culture of continuous improvement, lead initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, cost saving, reducing waste, and optimizing overall efficiency
5. Prioritizing the well-being of personnel and compliance with regulatory standards, establish and enforce rigorous safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive measures to maintain a safe working environment
6. Coordinate in scheduled meetings, monitor production output & lead time, maintain other production standards and ensure quality control
7. Handling legal requirement matters such as local licensing, overseas product legal issues, new legal requirements, ISO, safety and others
8. Improvement & upgrading of the production plant, simplified the process or automation
9. Evaluate and recommend the digital system for process data recording, inventory and others
10. Liaising with HOD to develop plans that improve production, costs and labour required

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / Process
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, Auto-Cad
• Mature, possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels
