Accountant

Our client in the digital infrastructure space is hiring an accountant due to their expansion. There will be a team of 4-5 within the finance department to support their business in Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly close procedures including booking of revenue and expenses, review accruals, account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform variance analysis on monthly financials.
• Assist in FP&A function including analysis of actuals against budget/forecast and preparation of management reports.
• Billing and AR function including preparation of invoices and monitoring AR Ageing.
• Payment and Treasury function including setting up of payments and monitoring of cash flows.
• Assist with various direct and indirect tax reporting in different jurisdictions.
• Assist with financial and tax audits.
• Assist with compliance reporting.
• Assist in set up of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Assist in other ad-hoc tasks that may be required from time to time.

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years experience in accounting/finance function (especially in financial reporting and finance operations)
• A team player who is also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Works well under stress and able to cope with dynamic environment (VUCA).
• Detail oriented and be prepared to be hands-on.
• Experience in XERO is a plus.
• Experience in digital infrastructure industry is a plus.
