We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, ensuring that each one is flawlessly executed and meets or exceeds expectations. The Assistant Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to create memorable and successful events that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Industry Development (Event) Planning:
- Develop comprehensive event plans, considering all aspects from concept to execution.
- Define event goals, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with clients or internal stakeholders.
2. Logistics and Operations
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, transportation, and accommodation
- Supervise and manage on-site event operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.
3. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial goals are met and expenses are within approved limits.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective services without compromising quality.
4. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with various vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring services meet expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to understand their event requirements and expectations.
5. Marketing and Promotion
- Work closely with marketing teams to create promotional materials and strategies to drive attendance and enhance the event's visibility.
- Utilize various marketing channels to promote events, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
6. Post-Event Evaluation:
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to reach out to senior management, C Suites level.
