Backend Developer

Job Description

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of various functional modules of the data center, as well as data cleaning and peripheral system development;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game developers, designers, and front-end developers, to understand requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable backend solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain server-side systems and APIs that support our online gaming platforms, including user authentication, game logic, data storage, and real-time communication.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of backend services, ensuring smooth gameplay experiences for large numbers of concurrent users.
• Implement and maintain security measures, such as user authentication, encryption, and data protection, to safeguard user information and prevent unauthorized access.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high reliability and stability.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to deploy and manage backend services on cloud platforms or on-premises servers, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Monitor and analyze system performance and usage metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations to enhance overall efficiency.
• Create and maintain system documentation;
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in backend development, gaming technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our gaming products.

Job Requirement

• At least 1-year relevant working experience as a Backend Developer
• Proficiency in programming languages Python and C#;
• Proficiency in database systems such as MS SQL and MySQL;
• Familiar with Linux system operation, master common Linux commands, familiarity with Docker deployment is preferred;
• Experience in other developer tools such as Hadoop/Spark/Kafka is an added advantage;
• Proficient in using version control tools such as GIT is an added advantage;
• Familiar with the interface development method of separation of front and back end, understand TCP/HTTP protocol is an added advantage;
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including version control, testing methodologies, and agile development processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
