[CF] Technician (rotating shift, 5 days work week!)

Job Summary:

As a technician, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance of hotel equipment with minimal downtime under the direction of Engineering Management. You will enhance engineering services by resolving issues for guests and staff, including training and guiding staff in skill development. You should be capable of independently diagnosing and resolving issues, procuring materials, and managing schedules while supporting all team requirements within the engineering department. Additionally, you will perform duty engineer tasks as scheduled and accurately understand and record Engineering Log readings. You will supervise junior staff and contractors for minor repairs. It is essential that you can read and interpret safety documents, write reports, and communicate effectively with customers and staff.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Repair plumbing, electrical, and hardware issues; program TVs for Guest Rooms
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and hardware systems in Public Area
• Monitor, understand, and handle system emergencies
• Monitor and report energy usage; suggest conservation ideas.
• Maintain and store tools properly.
• Respond to emergencies to protect guests, staff, and the building; inform management.
• Work safely, create a safe environment, and address hazards.
• Log and interpret meter readings; maintain daily logs.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; assist as needed.
• Complete assignments safely and professionally; maintain communication with supervisors; provide training and technical advice.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding in commercial kitchen equipment servicing and maintenance.
• Licensed in Electrical Worker, Licensed Gas Service Worker, Licensed Plumber will be an added advantage.
• General skills in handling kitchen equipment, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy conservation & general building.
• Great teamwork skills.
• Able to work rotating shift, 5 days work week including weekends
