COO and Finance, Private Equity

Join a Private Equity with a strong focus in the Healthcare & Life Science industry looking to hire an Operation and Finance Chief Officer.

The COO/CFO will have the responsibility to handle 2 fast growing portfolio companies and supporting every aspects of their Operations and Finance, working closely with the Board of Directors, shareholders, and investees in evaluating the performance and monitoring the investments.

This role reports directly to the main board of each company and will have 2 separate Finance and Operation teams reporting into the COO/CFO.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the finance teams and responsible for day-to-day operations for the portfolio companies
• Provide guidance on the preparation of the annual budget planning and the preparation of forecasts, trends and financial reports.
• Formulate and implement operational policies on Business, Regulatory, Compliance, and governance
• Oversee the relationships of external parties of bankers, auditors and tax advisors.
• Review profitability and operating condition of the company and identify areas to improve quality, control measures, efficiency, productivity, and manage resources.
• Collaborate with the other senior management team to develop and implement plans to ensure scalability of the systems, processes, and resources designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of organization.

Requirements:

• 15 years of Experience in heading Finance and Operations
• At least 5 years of experience in Investment on the buy side (PE/Asset Management/Fund/VC)
• Experience managing portfolio companies in a VC or PE set up is preferred
• Previous experience manging Finance & Operations in the healthcare or Life science industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other accounting qualification
• Strong accounting and finance technical background
• Strategic, motivated, detailed-oriented
• Good communication and presentation skills
