Laser Cutter Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Cutter Operator to join our team. The Laser Cutter Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to cut, trim, and fabricate parts as per specifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to production schedules.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or sketches to understand specifications.
• Select and load proper materials into the machine based on job requirements.
• Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, power) for different materials and thicknesses.
• Monitor the cutting process to ensure quality and accuracy of cuts.
• Inspect finished pieces for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain and clean machines regularly to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Laser Cutter Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining laser cutting machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Basic understanding of materials and their properties.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move materials as needed.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for operating machinery.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational training or certification in laser technology or a related field.
• Working experience in precious metals industry is preferred.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming laser cutting machines.
