Procurement Manager

Job Description

As a leader of the Procurement team, you are responsible for procurement of related goods and services to meet internal stakeholders for cost effectiveness, quality standards, payment terms, shipping terms and timeliness. You will work closely with the internal stakeholders to ensure earliest engagement to prepare RFQ documents to provide clear and detailed specifications that will fit business needs. You will also perform analysis of the RFQ submissions and negotiate with suppliers to select best value offer for the organization.

• Oversee the procurement team and provide direction and guidance to ensure compliance with procurement policies and practices.

• Evaluate PR raised by project department and analyze technical data and specifications needed for project/work. To source and negotiate with vendors for best value, lead-time and terms at all times and make recommendation for project team to make a decision on the purchase

• Liaise with contractor representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to parts equipment when required To gather a master purchase list of forecasted items for every project

• Ensure to match Purchase Order, Delivery Order and Invoices; Check on accuracy and completeness and submit to Finance Department on a timely basis Collaborate with internal stakeholders and management on budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow requirements.

• To ensure timely issuance of purchase order and delivery arrangement To manage all shipments and documentation to ensure timely delivery to site

• To widen the network of supplier and build rapport Perform market analysis and suppliers’ evaluation and negotiation

• Identify, access and develop potential alternative vendors for various services Follow up on invoicing on cash on delivery purchases

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering/ Automation

• Minimum 5-8years of relevant working experience in manufacturing industry, skilled in technical specification related to part equipment, sourcing and negotiation

• Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and to meet critical project deadlines.

• Team player with strong leadership, interpersonal, planning and organizing skills

• Able to commence within short notice
