Job Description - Restaurant Manager

As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring the satisfaction of our guests, and maintaining high standards of service, quality, and profitability. You will lead a dynamic team, manage financial budgets, and contribute to the overall growth and success of our establishment.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that the restaurant delivers high-quality food and exceptional guest service.
  • Hire, train, and manage staff members, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to excellence.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and standards that meet or exceed industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory levels and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the procurement of fresh, high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Create staff schedules, manage labor costs, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and handle guest complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that reflect the restaurant's brand and appeal to local tastes and trends.
  • Act as an operational all-rounder, stepping in to assist in the kitchen when necessary, whether it's expediting orders, ensuring food quality standards are met, or providing guidance and assistance to the culinary team during peak service times.
  • Analyze financial data, including sales reports and cost analyses, to make informed decisions that drive profitability.
  • Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus).
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
