Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Translate business' data needs to technical system requirements.

· Build data flow channels and processing systems to extract, transform, load and integrate data.

· Establish robust data infrastructure to empower citizen developers within the organization, enabling them to leverage data effectively for decision-making.

· Create data storage plans and solutions for information storage and extraction with the use of cloud storage applications.

· Leverage on AI in AI/ML model evaluation by leveraging data and algorithms to generate test cases, and focus more on scaling and improving AI/ML models.

· Evaluate existing technologies and technology practices.

· Resolve data integrity, performance, and availability issues.

Requirements:

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

· Proven experience as a data engineer, with a strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data management techniques.

· Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Databricks, Datalake or similar technologies.

· Proficiency with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

· Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a related role

· Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R as well as MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications.

· Familiarity with data manipulation, statistical analysis and machine learning is preferred.

· Knowledge of AI frameworks and tools is a must.

· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
