Senior / Logistics Operations Executive

Our Client is a global distributor of industrial and electronic components serving customers in automation, manufacturing and maintenance.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, highly organised Senior / Logistics Operations Executive to be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and managing third-party logistics providers, driving process improvements to increase performance and quality.

• Build and maintain relationships with third-party logistics companies and port authorities to ensure that customers’ needs are met effectively and competitively; 
• Supervise and support third-party logistics warehousing, to ensure that targets and contractual obligations are met; 
• Coordinate import and export operations, ensuring all necessary local licenses and permits are obtained through collaboration with stakeholders and customs brokers; 
• Plan and facilitate inventory activities; 
• Coordinate budget analysis for logistics operations, including assessing changes in costs to minimize operational impact; 
• Optimise operational costs, to ensure that budgets are met; 
• Identify areas for process improvement in logistics, to drive performance excellence; 
• Develop quality management measures to improve quality standards; 
• Manage warehouse safety activities to ensure compliance, facilitating relevant discussions for assessments and risk management; 
• Obtain insights from logistics data for continuous improvement.;

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in logistics, international trade, or supply chain management; 
• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations;
• Knowledge of customs clearance operations and management;  Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to review and improve processes to support continuous improvement initiatives;
• Strong health and safety knowledge and awareness; 
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; 
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
