This leader will own the end-to-end strategy for securing scalable infrastructure capacity required to support OCI’s aggressive growth trajectory, with a particular emphasis on Asia and Europe, where proximity to customers, regulatory complexity, utility constraints, and speed-to-market are critical competitive differentiators.
The successful candidate will drive large-scale infrastructure initiatives spanning land acquisition, utility and energy procurement, colocation strategy, supplier negotiations, and development execution across multiple international regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Infrastructure Growth Strategy
Develop and execute OCI’s global infrastructure acquisition and power sourcing strategy to support hyperscale cloud expansion.
Drive long-term regional growth plans focused on enabling OCI scale across Asia, including emerging and high-growth markets.
Build strategic relationships with utilities, governments, colocation providers, developers, and infrastructure partners globally.
Ensure Oracle maintains unconstrained infrastructure capacity and power availability to support customer demand and accelerated OCI deployment schedules.
Real Estate Acquisition & Campus Development
Lead colocation site selection, evaluation, and acquisition activities globally.
Oversee large-scale data center campus development initiatives, including land acquisition, utility access, and development contracting.
Negotiate standard and complex colocation leases and real estate agreements.
Evaluate site scalability, operational feasibility, infrastructure readiness, and regional market conditions.
Drive due diligence programs covering technical, operational, financial, legal, and regulatory considerations.
Power & Utility Strategy
Own energy sourcing and utility procurement strategies for OCI data centers.
Negotiate retail electricity agreements, utility contracts, and long-term power supply arrangements.
Manage supplier relationships and delivery timelines to ensure infrastructure readiness aligns with OCI growth objectives.
Analyze international energy markets, utility regulations, and geopolitical risks to identify opportunities and mitigate supply constraints.
Navigate complex regulatory environments across Asia.
Supplier & Colocation Management
Develop strategic supplier frameworks and qualification programs for colocation and infrastructure partners.
Conduct operational, financial, and scalability assessments of suppliers and providers.
Lead negotiations to secure cost-effective, scalable, and energy-compliant infrastructure solutions.
Maintain executive-level relationships with key global partners and vendors.
Organizational Leadership
Build and scale a high-performing global organization aligned to OCI’s future growth strategy.
Establish regionally focused teams supporting infrastructure sourcing, development, and operational expansion.
Recruit, mentor, and develop leadership talent across multiple geographies.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, legal, finance, engineering, supply chain, and business development organizations.
Executive Leadership & Communication
Own the roadmap, business strategy, and execution model for global infrastructure acquisition and power sourcing.
Present strategic recommendations, investment priorities, and operational updates to Oracle executive leadership.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous, high-growth environment with executive-level accountability and visibility.
Requirement:
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in data center infrastructure, real estate, power sourcing, or hyperscale cloud operations.
Deep expertise in global data center site selection, campus development, land acquisition, and utility/power procurement.
Proven experience negotiating large-scale colocation, utility, and infrastructure agreements.
Strong understanding of international energy markets, utility regulations, and regional infrastructure challenges.
Demonstrated success leading hyperscale infrastructure expansion across Asia and Europe.
Executive-level operational, organizational, and commercial leadership experience.
Proven ability to build and scale globally distributed teams.
Strong network within the power, utility, real estate, and data center industries.
Experience operating in complex regulatory and geopolitical environments.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Strong analytical capabilities and bias for action.
Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving environment while driving operational excellence at scale.
