VP Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Technology Officer / Head of IT to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT risk management, preferably within the financial industry, along with expertise in blockchain technology. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with stakeholders globally. This role requires a deep understanding of governance, including the development and implementation of procedures and control frameworks, especially pertaining to infrastructure. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the organization in regulatory matters, particularly with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive IT risk management strategies, with a focus on infrastructure, to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.

2. Provide leadership and guidance in the adoption and implementation of blockchain technology, ensuring alignment with infrastructure requirements.

3. Establish and maintain governance procedures and control frameworks specific to infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

4. Collaborate with internal teams to assess and address infrastructure-related risks and vulnerabilities, including network security, data protection, and disaster recovery.

5. Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, particularly the MAS, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines related to infrastructure.

6. Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

7. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable infrastructure solutions to support the organization's technology initiatives.

8. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, department heads, and technical teams, regarding infrastructure-related matters.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT risk management, preferably in the financial industry, with a focus on infrastructure.

3. Experience interacting with regulatory bodies, particularly the MAS, regarding infrastructure-related compliance.

4. Strong understanding of blockchain technology and its implications for infrastructure management in the financial sector.

5. Fluent in English and Mandarin, with excellent verbal and written communication skills so to liaise with Chinese Speaking Stakeholders.

6. Proven track record of developing and implementing governance procedures and control frameworks specific to infrastructure.

7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams of infrastructure professionals.

8. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.

9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results.

10. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP, or equivalent, are a plus.
