Workplace Safety and Health Officer

Job Description

• Identify and recommend the best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Identify any deviation, weakness, or significant change in organization, and risk control measures and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct In-House Training Program, and other safety-related activities.
• Perform safety audits and inspections of the Company’s worksites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
• Assist in maintaining certifications such as ISO45001, Bizsafe Partner/ Bizsafe Star certificates.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by HOD.

Requirements

1. Must be a Singapore Registered Safety Officer / Workplace Safety & Health Officer.

2. Must have professional knowledge in WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH act and Environment).

3. Degree holder in any Engineering Discipline/ Building/ Safety or its equivalent with 7 years of relevant working experience.

4. Diploma holder in any Engineering Discipline/ Building/ Safety or its equivalent with 10 years of relevant working experience.

5. Applicant with FSM Certificate is an added advantage.
