The Opportunity

• Work closely with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.

The Talent

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis or Science (Computer Studies).
• At least 5 years of experience with Calypso Back Office Specialist
• Familiar with Java, PL/SQL & Linux and Calypso version 16.
• Skilled in various Back office features such as engines, events, filters, reporting, messaging, transfers, accounting, pricers, workflows and reconciliation.
• Knowledgeable about financial assets (FX, money market, cash) and trade lifecycle.
• Familiar with regulatory reporting (MMSR).
• Able to work on-call and support night and weekend shifts.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, cooperative and service-oriented mindset.

The Job

• Develop and implement the necessary application monitoring tools for timely incident detection. Use code-based monitoring whenever possible.
• Supervise and monitor daily and monthly batch processes, which run during the Singapore morning and early afternoon time, to ensure that problems are quickly resolved and minimize downtime.
• Produce and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports on data quality.
• Streamline processes to reduce manual intervention.
• Provide level 2 application support to back office users.
• Analyse and manage incidents/requests.
• Coordinate incidents that affect multiple teams.
• Identify and eliminate recurring problems.
• Provide requirements to build team for bug fixing and enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the applications in the scope of the team in coordination with build team and operations team.
• Conduct trainings for business users to decrease the number of daily requests from business to IT.
• Mentor junior team members as required.
• Test releases.
• Analyse performance.
• Deploy and validate production.
• Perform production releases on weekend (rotating schedule within the team).
