Singapore is the Headquarter for Asia Pacific providing installations, support, services and spare parts into the region and to our Service Partners.
To fill the position as Marine Service Engineer at Schaller Automation, you would be enthusiastic about carrying out multiple tasks such as in-situ service, repair, overhauling tasks on board vessels or at power stations in mainly Singapore but also overseas in APAC from time to time. Additionally, you would conduct overhauling and repair jobs in our inhouse workshop and would support our logistics and other departments department if and where needed.
Therefore, mechanical and electrical engineering skills are essential. To become part of the Schaller Automation team strong demonstration of hands-on mentality and team support will also be as essential as a highest level of reliability. Further tasks will be assigned according to the candidate's additional experiences and qualifications.
Job tasks:
· Conduct services and maintenance at Schaller Automation equipment onboard, at power stations and in our in-house workshop
· Mechanical / Electrical installation and commissioning of OMD systems or similar on diesel engines installed in sea-going vessels and at land-based power stations in the Asia Pacific region
· Customer support, troubleshooting, service, repair of Schaller Automation equipment following the company’s technical guidelines
· Supervision of subcontracting companies performing maintenance and repairs at Schaller Automation equipment
· Provide pre/post sales technical advice to customers
· Service/maintenance/calibration of inhouse testing equipment
· Provide maintenance training for users and operators of Schaller Automation equipment
· Provide product support and expertise to other Sales and Aftersales staff
· Preparation of shipments to customers, perform deliveries to Singapore clients
· Service reporting and document processing in the SAP system
· Support during exhibition preparation and set-up
· Other ad-hoc duties related to employee’s experiences upon company’s evaluation
· Strong hands-on mentality
· Regional travel: approx. <10%
Candidate’s experience/requirements:
· 1-3 years’ experience as Marine/Service Engineer
· Experience in the field of Marine Engineering or other Engineering
· Possess excellent customer service and coordination skills
· Works well organized and structured, autonomous and time efficient worker, positive working attitude and high motivation
· Possess safe working mindset
· Fluent in multiple languages is a benefit
· Practical experience in SAP ERP system is beneficial
· Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
· Maintains driving license class 3 and has driving experience
· Work Pass holders do not need to apply
Remuneration Package:
· Salary depends on experiences and qualifications

Working Hours:
· Monday to Friday 8.30 am till 5.30 pm
